Jason sent me a text message this morning when he landed in New York City, saying he sat next to Tom Brokaw on his flight. That got me thinking - how many of us have actually met a "celebrity?"
I've seen Tim Robbins up close and in person - I stood next to him at a Pearl Jam concert. I also stood about 10 feet away from Derek Jeter (who was surrounded by women) at a party in San Francisco. And Jason and I sat about two tables over from Pete Rose at a diner in Las Vegas.
Have you ever encountered someone who is considered famous?

I can't believe Jason didn't talk to him. I would want to know if his voice sounds the same in person as on the phone.
I've met a few well known people but don't know if they count as celebrities...One of the Detroit Red Wings, I can't remember his name, but all the men in my office were stunned I wasn't stunned by his prescence. I've also met the Rockettes. I've also met Tom Izzo. And of course there's the namesake to my employer depending on your standards of what is a celebrity.
I rode an elevator in Vegas with Jeremy Pivan (and I was wearing crocs...how lame am I?) Oh, and I can't forget Kirk Gibson!
I've met Evan Dando a few times, Debbie Gibson came to the salon once before performing at Devos, Lol Tolhurst(one of the original members of The Cure)at a show he was playing at, and I saw Kate Hudson filming a movie in Boston.
