We had a very nice weekend, a good combination of productive and fun. It didn’t get into the 90s like our local weatherman predicted, which was great – we don’t have A/C and when the temperature rises it gets unbearably HOT inside our condo (the heat wave is supposed to hit tomorrow, instead, but I’ve got all my fingers and toes crossed hoping they’re wrong again).
I went to the gym Friday night after work, and after we put Isabelle to bed we treated ourselves to take-out Mexican food and caught up on a couple of TV shows. Saturday was Jason’s turn to fit in a work-out and we took turns running errands during the afternoon. That night we started our Grey’s Anatomy season 5 marathon; we missed half of last season and want to catch up before this week’s season 6 premier! And of course the season 5 DVDs were not released until a week before the new season kicks off…
On Sunday Jason helped me get some cleaning done and then I took a quick trip to the mall to spend the birthday money that was burning a hole in my pocket. I came home with a new outfit from Banana Republic but controlled myself otherwise… my friend Kim and her sister Melissa are flying to San Diego on Wednesday to spend a couple days with us, and I have a feeling we’ll be doing some shopping at the outlet mall this weekend!
