My first Mother's Day weekend

Our Saturday morning started out as usual, with Isabelle waking up at 6:45 and Jason getting ready to go to the gym while I fed and played with the baby, drank coffee, and watched home improvement shows on TLC. I had planned to run several errands later that day, as well as work on the HCC taxes - one of the responsbilities that comes with the treasurer position I naively volunteered for.

My day turned out much differently than I anticipated because Jason announced that I had a 60-minute, full-body massage booked for 12:15 - my Mother's Day present! Let's just say I needed the massage; the therapist remarked several times that she couldn't believe how many knots and "little critters" I had built up in my shoulders and upper back. By the time she was done with me I felt like I'd probably be bruised the next day, and it was GREAT. I followed the massage with a nap when I got home, which only added to the fact that my Saturday became completely unproductive but ever so enjoyable...

I didn't expect a gift, but I'm glad I got the one I did because it was very thoughtful. Jason remarks all the time that I'm a good mom, which is the only "reward" I need from him. But at the same time, I will never turn down a massage when it's offered to me!

TAXES?!?! What? I can't believe you have to do the HCC taxes. Isn't there someone that can do it pro-bono? Guess that's why I'll never be a treasurer:)

Ross is a wonderful husband - so glad he's showing Isabelle early how to treat mommy right.
