Today is our sixth day without Jason, as he's been out of town since Monday. He was in Atlanta Monday & Tuesday, New York on Wednesday and Thursday, and will be returning from Santa Monica tomorrow afternoon.
The week went by quite fast since I was busy working, taking care of Isabelle, and trying to find time every now and then to keep plugging away at the HCC taxes. Ugh, I hope to have that project finished by the end of this coming week so I can enjoy the three-day Memorial Day weekend!
Knowing I'd need a bit of a social outlet this week, too, a co-worker of mine came over on Monday night after work and we split a pizza and a bottle of wine. And last night, several co-workers came over for "happy hour" at my house, which was fun because Isabelle got to play with another baby about six weeks older than her! It's funny because Isabelle is a pretty good-sized kid; she's very tall for her age already and while she's not overly chubby she's got a couple of good rolls in the right places. But this other baby just dwarfed her by comparison! She's got her six-month check-up on Monday, and I'm quite interested to see what her height and weight are now...
Today I'm just catching up on some housework (laundry, dishes, UGH), e-mail, and sneaking a few minutes here and there to read my book while Isabelle is playing....
