Day 3 in the hospital

We've spent two full nights in the hospital now, and as you may expect we've passed our time by feeding Isabelle, changing her diapers, and taking turns holding her. I've had the added bonus of all the post-surgical monitoring; I won't go into the gory details, so suffice it to say that I'm sore but still getting out of bed as often as possible to move around and help speed the recovery. Right now my incision is stapled shut so I look like Frankenstein. Can't wait to have them removed!

Isabelle is doing great - she has not, as they'd predicted, come down with jaundice (her blood type is incompatible with mine and she tested positive for some sort of jaundice risk factor).

I've loaded some more photos, since I know that's what everyone really is waiting for - you'll notice she has a tendency to look at us out of only one eye. It's really cute! We've decided that although she resembles both of us in some ways, she favors me a little bit more. She's got my nose and coloring - fair skin and blondish hair - and she's got Jason's mouth and chin. We think she'll have my eyes, although it's hard to tell since they'll probably change to their natural color from the standard dark blue in a few months.

Keep the photos coming:)

Are you wearing a pink robe with polka dots? I think we have the same one!

PS - I hope your incision heals quickly. That can't be overly comfy.
