Jason experienced two milestones this week – on Sunday night he felt the baby move for the first time, and on Tuesday he experienced his first earthquake!
We were hanging out in our guest room/office Sunday; I was lying on the bed watching TV while Jason worked on the computer. I could feel the baby moving in little spurts, so I told Jason to lay his hand on my belly and see if it would happen again. About three seconds later we felt a really hard punch! The look of surprise on his face was great... he could feel it just as easily as I could, which is amazing considering the baby is still so tiny (I’m 23 weeks today).
You may have heard there was a 5.4-magnitude earthquake in southern California on Tuesday just before noon. Most people in San Diego felt it, although for some reason I didn’t! I was standing in the imaging pavilion at one of our hospitals, and I guess the room was super structurally sound – either that or I am completely oblivious to the earth shaking. Jason felt it, however, and said his entire building shook for about 30 seconds.

Glad you're ok. I was wondering if you felt it.
Isn't it so cool to feel the baby moving around!!! I remember Dave feeling the baby for the first time while we were laying on the couch watching "24"...Jack Bauer really go our little Jack moving!
What are you thinking...boy or girl?
I did not know you had an earthquake out there.....shows you where I have been. That is so awesome that he can feel the baby moving. How great to see that first look on his face. How did you feel the first time you felt the baby move???
