Giving thanks... for good deals at the mall!

Happy belated Thanksgiving! We've been on the go for the last three days so I haven't had time to blog.

We've had a nice four-day holiday weekend. On Thanksgiving day, Bubby joined us for the traditional turkey dinner, prepared by Margaret (Jason's mom) who has been visiting us since last Sunday. Our tiny dining room table was barely big enough to fit four place settings, much less all the food! The next time we move, Jason and I are going to have to upgrade to a bigger table (especially considering one of our chairs collapsed and we only have three matching chairs now).

On Friday we planned to go see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the San Diego Natural History Museum, but the tickets were sold out so we opted for a late lunch and matinee instead. After the movie we decided to get into the holiday spirit by driving through the "Holiday of Lights" exhibit at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Saturday we set the alarm so we'd have plenty of time to shop at the outlet mall down in San Ysidro, next to the Mexico border. We spent too much money but we found some incredible deals, so the extra expense was worth it. We ended up saving 55% off our total Banana Republic bill, not to mention the two pairs of shoes I got for 60% off.

We did a little shopping today, too, as I need a dress for Jason's management team holiday party. I found a really cute one at Banana Republic, which gives me an excuse to shop for a new pair of heels before the party on December 15!

Now here's hoping for a couple of good bonuses between the two of us to pay off the shopping expenses...

Oooh, was that the outlet mall we went too? I still dream about it.

Mean Ann T. almost got me yestery day with a lovely brown suit. The fabric didn't quite match, so I passed. She's a stinker.
