A Weekend With the Boys

I spent a lot of time this weekend with Jason, Bubby, Ben, and Caleb, as the boys were in town for the annual fantasy football league draft. On Friday night my male harem and I hung out in downtown San Diego, first stopping by Altitude, a rooftop bar on the 22nd floor of the Marriott. The view was amazing; we had a bird's-eye view of Petco Park (see my photo of the sold out stadium) and watched the end of the game between the Padres and the Dodgers. The Padres won 6-4.

Next we headed over to The Yard House, which is one of the local bars I enjoy because it's a little more casual than some of the upscale nightclubs around here. They play classic rock overhead and there are over 100 beers on tap. It was a late night; we didn't get home and in bed until 3:00 a.m., which is much later than my normal bedtime!

Saturday the guys spent much of the day doing their football thing (I shut myself in the air-conditioned office with my book and took a nap, as it was 108 degrees outside). Following the draft, Bubby hooked up the Nintendo Wii - check out my action shot of Ben playing virtual tennis:

Sunday afternoon we went to the Padres vs. Dodgers baseball game. I was hoping the game would end well so I would feel better about sweating through my clothes for three hours, but the Padres lost.

I wouldn't say I'm officially "one of the guys," but it was a fun weekend!
