This may come as a shock to my friends and family who are also Harry Potter fans, but I haven't read the seventh and final Harry Potter book yet. I had decided the only way to do the series justice was to reread books 1-6, something I had planned to start in January but didn't get around to until....late July.I'm glad I decided to reread the series; I'm on book five right now, and I've rediscovered so many small details that I'd forgotten! Plus, it's been fun to blast through the books nonstop, rather than having to wait two years in between each installment. The story feels more cohesive.
The only drawback is, the books are so thick that my left hand has developed some sort of overuse injury, like carpal tunnel. It's sore from trying to prop open a 750-page book one-handed while sitting on an exercise bike or getting a pedicure.
I honestly have no idea how the seventh books ends - no one has ruined the ending for me. So to all of you who have read the last book - no spoilers, please! I'll be caught up very soon...
