Green eggs & ham

Isabelle and her classmates have been reading a lot of Dr. Seuss books the last several weeks at school, in honor of the late Dr. Seuss's birthday which occurred recently. She's always been a big Dr. Seuss fan, she just doesn't realize it - when I was home on maternity leave while she was a newborn, whenever I read Dr. Seuss to her, her arms and legs would kick like crazy from start to finish.

Anyway, she kept begging us to make green eggs and ham for dinner, assuring us that if we tried them, we just might like them! As the story goes, "You do not like them, so you say. Try them, try them and you may! Try them and you may I say!"

On Tuesday we relented and let her have green eggs and ham for dinner. Not the most high class meal we've ever had, but she was thrilled! (Although I stopped short of letting her turn the ham green; I don't think I could stomach that).
