It's hard to believe but Isabelle turned three years old yesterday! We had a birthday party for her at our house on Sunday, which was a whirlwind as we had roughly 14 kids and 16 adults over for lunch, activities and cake between 11-2.
Isabelle, unfortunately, woke up with a cold over the weekend was feeling a bit under the weather during her party. She had a great time, but I could tell the amount of people in the house was a little overwhelming to her at times, and on a couple of occasions she clung to mom and dad instead of joining in the fun.
Still, she was thrilled with her over-the-top pink princess cake, all the kids enjoyed taking swings at the pinata, and Isabelle got some serious girly loot during present time: a Rapunzel costume, a Hello Kitty princess dress, two new purses, two Barbies, some tiaras with matching jewelry and wands, a My Little Pony, Tinkerbell walkie-talkies, and some arts and crafts like coloring books, sticker books and puzzles.
The house, naturally, was destroyed after so many rambunctious kids running around. It could have been worse - thanks to our new back yard, many of the kids played outside. But it was funny to walk around afterward and find half-empty juice boxes laying on the floor, spilled bubbles in the kitchen, Play Doh stuck to our concrete patio, and sticky lollipop sticks clinging to pieces of furniture. I could never operate my own in-home daycare!
I need to see if I can grab all the birthday party photos from Grandma Masherah's camera, so stay tuned for pictures!
