Jason's birthday was Tuesday, and we had a surplus of cupcakes to ring in his 34th year - unknown to him, I stopped by Sprinkles to pick up some fancy cupcakes on my way home (lemon-blueberry and peanut butter chip!), and unknown to me Jason stopped by Coldstone on the way home to pick up some ice cream cupcakes.
Jason promised Isabelle she could have a pink cupcake after dinner, so she was the first to sample one of the hybrid cake-and-ice cream cupcakes - they consist of a chocolate shell molded like a cupcake, with a small base layer of cake topped with ice cream.
Can you tell she liked it?
