Isabelle had her two-year check-up on Friday, and passed with flying colors! She's now just a hair under 3 feet tall, which is the 80th percentile for height at her age, and at 25.8 pounds she's just above the 25th percentile for weight. I was nervous that her pediatrician would tell us she's underweight, but she said it's clear that Isabelle is going to be tall and thin (go figure!) and we don't need to worry.
During the next year we need to concentrate on potty training, make a pediatric dentist appointment, and make sure she's getting enough protein. Isabelle used to be a superb eater who would devour anything we put in front of her, but during the last three months she's turned extremely picky. Her doctor assured us that's normal at this age, but in the meantime we need to make sure she keeps drinking plenty of milk and eating cheese, yogurt and lean meat.
Jason actually took Isabelle to the appointment, and he said she took her immunizations (shots to both thighs) like a champ. When he called to let me know how the appointment went, he told me he put a few M&Ms in her diaper bag to give her after the shots, because he figured she'd be upset and need some cheering up. What a good daddy!
