After a lot of coaxing (and wrestling), Isabelle was transformed into a duck for Halloween. I'm not sure what she thought we were trying to do - stuff her into a fluffy yellow bag and sell her to the circus? - but the minute I tried to pull the costume over her head, she started screaming and thrashing. It took both Jason and I to pin her down and zip her into the costume.
Fortunately, I correctly assumed that as soon as I got her outside into the cool air where all the kids were running by in their own costumes, she would calm down. Her fears were forgotten and she was excited to play outside in the dark... and eat candy.
Isabelle happily tried M&Ms for the first time - and she liked them a lot. Every time she thought we weren't looking, she'd sneak her hand into the candy bowl and try to grab more. Since it was a special occasion, we did allow her to enjoy a couple of "fun size" bags. By the end of the night, she was a duck smeared in chocolate.
