We had a busy family weekend planned – but then Jason got sick and spent most of Friday night and Saturday in bed.
So on Saturday, instead of going to IKEA to buy doors for the front of our entertainment center (to keep out our increasingly snoopy baby) and going to the mall to buy some new clothes, I took care of Isabelle while Jason slept. I figured if we were staying home I might as well get some cleaning done, so at least my day was productive, if not exciting.
Jason felt better when he woke up yesterday morning so I continued on with my Sunday plans. I volunteered at the San Diego Pride festival for a couple of hours, then some co-workers and I met for drinks and appetizers at The Prado restaurant in Balboa Park. It was a fun day but it was HOT. Our tent at the festival was facing the sun so it didn’t provide any shade, and it must have been 95 degrees. A Neutrogena representative was walking around giving out free products, and he was kind enough to spray me down with their SPF 70 aerosol sunscreen (which worked like a charm, by the way!).
I came home to an exhausted husband who had spent several hours chasing after Isabelle, who started crawling a few days ago and is getting into EVERYTHING. Time to finish the baby-proofing!
