I took Isabelle for her weekly helmet adjustment this morning, and learned that she only has to wear it for one more week! We get to take the helmet off for good next Thursday, and then on Monday, June 29 she'll have her "exit appointment" where they take final measurements and photos.
Her head has shaped up beautifully. She went through a crazy growth spurt during the two full months she's worn the helmet, and naturally her head grew in proportion the to the rest of her which helped speed the treatment. The back of her head has rounded out, her forehead is no longer slanted, and while her ears will never be perfectly aligned, they are much more in alignment than they were prior to wearing the helmet.
The timing is good because as the weather gets warmer, she's sweating more underneath it and whenever we take the helmet off at night she immediately starts scratching the back of her head. I think she's growing tired of it.
The treatment was well worth it, but I'm very much looking forward to next week!

Wow I can't believe it's been two months already! Jason is going to have to have one of his 'talks' with her and tell her she needs to be careful rolling around on the floor now that she's helmet free haha ;)
