Season's Greetings!

Christmas came and went very quickly this year. I seem to have lost all sense of time since Isabelle was born - now that I'm not working (or sleeping for that matter), most days I'm not even sure what day it is!

I dropped Jessi off at the airport Christmas morning, then came home and watched Isabelle while Jason slept for a few hours (he had taken the overnight shift). In the early afternoon we went to Bubby and Sherry's house for a very nice Christmas dinner, and spent a couple of hours playing Scrabble.

We opened our gifts that night around 10:00 - we sat Isabelle next to the tree in her bouncer so she could watch, since most of the presents were for her, but she was only interested for a couple of minutes before deciding she needed to be fed again :-)

Jason and I didn't exchange gifts this year because we bought a joint present for ourselves - a new video camera! It's digital so we don't need to mess with tapes or anything; we can just transfer everything onto our computer and then store the files and/or burn them to DVDs. We also got some very nice gifts from our family and friends, including some cute baby clothes, DVDs, and tree ornaments commemorating Isabelle's first Christmas.

My favorite thing about the holidays is that Jason has eight days off from work due to his forced company closure. It will be nice for the three of us to spend some time together next week!

Isabelle during her first Christmas. We propped her up in the corner of the couch to see how long she'd keep her head upright while in a sitting position. As you can see, she's not sure what to make of it...

It seems like she is getting bigger and bigger! I'm glad you had a nice Christmas! We miss you.

8 days off - wahoo!

I can see how you could loose track of time with no "calendar" running your day/life. Although, Calendar Isabelle is a busy one if its own:)

Jason and I keep joking that she looks like Mr. Burns from The Simpsons in this photo - it's the way she's wringing her hands and the sour look on her face, ha ha.
