Our weekend

As usual, the weekend has gone by too fast. Friday night we decided to see a movie, and stopped for cheap mexican food on the way. We saw "Righteous Kill" with Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro, and despite some bad reviews we both liked the movie (although I guessed the plot twist early on).

Saturday was a pretty quiet day; Jason got up early and went to the gym, but I stayed in bed until 10:30! I've been super tired all week and decided to let myself sleep in since there will be no more sleeping in once the baby comes! After Jason got home, we spent a couple of hours in the cafe at Borders bookstore so he could catch up on some work and I caught up on some magazine reading. After running a few more errands, we had dinner at home and watched a couple episodes of "24" - neither of us saw the first two seasons so we're watching them on DVD.

Today we woke up early and made a trip to downtown San Diego, to watch the 10:00 a.m. (Pacific time) Lions vs. Packers game with Bubby and Sherrie. We watched it over breakfast at a new sports bar that just opened near Bubby's apartment. Once the game was over and we were back home, I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure at a local nail salon, and then came home and took a nice long nap!

Tomorrow after work I need to pack - I'm heading up to San Francisco Tuesday afternoon for the annual SHSMD health care marketing conference and will be gone until Sunday. Jason will also be traveling for work; he'll be in Minnesota Wednesday - Friday, and is flying to San Francisco from Minneapolis Friday morning to meet up with me for one last weekend away before the baby is born. We've been to San Francisco a couple of times over the last two years so we're trying to think of something different to do this time - maybe a picnic lunch in Sausalito or a trip to the Muir Woods to see some of the giant redwoods....

I love how you guys spend time at bookstores. I wish I could make myself do it. So relaxing.
