The bad news:
Once again, our apartment complex has screwed something up. We dropped off our rent check the day before it was due, then got a notice on our apartment door a few days later saying that we were delinquent on our rent payment. Turns out they lost our check, so Jason had to stop payment on the original and then write them a new rent check that same day. Then, the next day we received an eviction notice saying if we didn't pay our rent within three days, we were getting kicked out. Sigh. Two rent checks later and they still haven't figured it out.

The good news:
We are giving them our 30-days notice this week. We officially got the condo in Encinitas! We mailed our holding fee to the landlord this morning, and she called me today to confirm our move-in date so she can draw up the lease.
So we'll be picking up the keys from her on Tuesday, July 15 and then making the big move the weekend of the 18th. Here are a couple pictures of the new place, pulled from the Craigslist ad (the current tenants haven't fully moved out yet, so it's still furnished):

Tania - The place looks very nice from the pictures. I am so glad that you got it!!! I know you were hoping for it.....Congratulations!!!
wow, that looks awesome!! I think you should have the old tenants keep the blue swing thinger hooked up in the entryway hahahaha. Too bad I didn't live a 'little' bit closer so I could help you move.
