A relaxing weekend

Jason and I had a nice weekend that actually felt long. On Friday night we went out to dinner and then saw “Baby Mama” at the theater. Because the movie was written by Tina Fey and starred both her and Amy Poehler, I thought it would be a little edgier than it was. But overall it was pretty funny and a cute movie.

Saturday was a beautiful, sunny day in the 70s, so we decided to explore Pacific Beach (a coastal suburb of San Diego). Most of my younger, single co-workers live in PB, and now I know why – the town is littered with bars, beachwear clothing stores, and tattoo parlors. We walked up and down the busy main drag and almost everyone we passed was younger than us. It reminded me a lot of the two spring breaks I took in Panama City, Florida while in college.

After exploring PB we drove up the coast into La Jolla, where we had a very late lunch followed by some yummy gelato.

Sunday was a very quiet day. We ran our errands during the early part of the day, then Jason worked while I read my book and then took a nice, long nap during the afternoon :-)

I'll definitely let you know how the book is. I'm 100 pages in and it's good so far...
