More addictive than crack

I was at the grocery store last weekend, making my way down the refrigerated food aisle, when I came around the corner and stopped in my tracks: there, next to the pharmacy where the seasonal displays are usually set up, was my first sighting of 2008 Easter candy.

With Easter comes Cadbury Mini Eggs. Delicious chocolate eggs wrapped in a pastel sugary shell and packaged in a shiny purple bag.

I bought a bunch of the tiny, single-serving bags that are two for a dollar, because I can throw them in my bag and take them to the office for a mid-afternoon indulgence. I'll probably eat a bag a day until Easter... then buy a bunch more once the Easter candy goes on clearance at Target... and then wait patiently until February 2009 for the next batch.

OMG - My neighbor just confessed to me that she has been waiting all year for those eggs. She showed me an empty package with tears... and then slowly looked up and admitted "I have a problem." so you are not alone.

You'll laugh Tania because I was in Target, saw the Cadbury mini eggs and actually said outloud..."YES!" The people next to me looked at me strangely as I picked up three bags...one for home, one to share (kind of) at work and one for our trip to San Diego!!

You and Kim introduced me to those things! They are quite tasty, although I can NEVER find them.

The Cadbury Mini Eggs have an underground cult following!

(Anne - Target usually carries them)

I love those too.......they sell out too fast, interesting to see also that the most comments on your blog are posted over these eggs, maybe that means we all have a problem with chocolate, I know I do!!!!!!!!

Obviously these are addicting to all geographic areas because the nurses and staff in our office are hooked. The first person to bring them in gets a mini bag from everyone else as a prize for spotting them (tradition for the last 5 years).

Deb, that is a GREAT tradition. (I would start something similar with my team, but they are health nuts. I seem to be the only one with a sweet tooth in my office).

Not only are the most comments about the chocolate, but most of the comments are all anonymous......hmmm......what does that say????
