I arrived in Washington, D.C. yesterday afternoon after a very cramped but uneventful flight. My boss and I checked into Hotel Rouge near Dupont Circle, a very tendy boutique hotel with red walls, velvet drapes, funky furniture, zebra-striped bath robes, and Aveda bathroom products. (I will post photos next week - I forgot to pack the USB cord for my digital camera).
The weather here is absolutely gorgeous - it must still be Indian Summer. And the trees are still very green, the leaves haven't really started changing color yet.
Today I met several of my co-workers for breakfast, then we took a double-decker bus tour of the city - we saw, at a quick-drive by, a lot of the famous architecture like the Washington Monument. We also did some light shopping in Georgetown, which was my favorite part of the day because I basically got three new shirts for free. It's a long story, but at my company's marketing retreat two weeks ago we split up into teams for a competition that required us to write a marketing plan, and each member of the team that won got a $100 MasterCard gift card. Today I used every penny of that MasterCard :-)

Sounds like you had a good afternoon of shopping! Enjoy the Aveda cleansing. Tell Tina HI for me.
Can't wait to see you! Good to hear the weather is nice.
