- On December 21 we will be flying into Chicago, renting a car, and driving up through Illinois and Wisconsin into the U.P.
- On December 26, we'll drive from the U.P. down to Muskegon.
- On December 31, we'll drive from Muskegon back to Chicago and catch our flight back to San Diego.
Whew! This is actually the best way for us to see everyone, so the jam-packed schedule is worth it. Plus it's much cheaper to fly into Chicago versus Grand Rapids or the U.P. Although ticket prices have been hovering around $400 (or more), today we snatched them up for only $239 each - and that includes all the taxes and fees! Yeah!
We'll try to bring some San Diego sunshine with us. Even though we didn't get to experience a "White Christmas" last year, we were both okay with that because it meant the roads were in good condition for our 17 hours of driving.
Can't wait to see everyone!

where are you planning on staying? - jess
How did you score the cheap tickets? Tina
If you're planning on purchasing plane tickets but have a couple of months to watch the prices, a great resource is farecast.com - we've used it a lot recently with very good luck. It predicts highs and lows in airfare 30 days out, and it compares the prices between Expedia, Travelocity, Priceline, etc.
Can't wait to see you!
Kim and I talked today -- we thought we could come to SD if the AZ thing doesn't work. I'll remember this trip:-) Look forward to talking about options. I'll start saving up!
