Our latest Disney adventure

I surprised Isabelle with a road trip up to Anaheim on Friday night, which is about an hour's drive. She loves hotels so she was excited just to check in and jump on the bed.... and then on Saturday she was ecstatic to hear we would be spending the day at Disney's California Adventure.

We got there right after the park opened at 9 a.m. and left the park around 10 p.m., so it was a long - but fun - day! We rode the "Ariel's Under the Sea Adventure" ride about a dozen times, as well as some fun rides in the "A Bug's Life" and "Monsters, Inc." section of the park. We saw a couple of shows including "Disney Junior, Live on Stage" (featuring Mickey Mouse and the gang, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, and Jake & the Neverland Pirates); a 40-minute "Aladdin" stage production; and a Pixar parade. We attended a character-dining lunch where she got to meet Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White and Tiana. And to end the night, we had front row spots for the World of Color show, which meant we were soaked by the water that kept shooting into the sky (which was fine - it was HOT on Saturday!).
