Our little Isabelle turned four on Friday and spent the weekend celebrating!
I was able to leave work at 2:00 that afternoon and picked her up from school early. I told her we could spend the next couple of hours doing whatever she wanted - so she chose a trip to Swirls for soft-serve frozen yogurt (where she ate vanilla yogurt topped with rainbow sprinkles and Cap'n Crunch), followed by a visit to Barnes & Noble.
After dinner we opened a couple of presents from friends and family - including a brand new, "big girl bike" from both of her grandmas!
We had her birthday party yesterday from 4-6 p.m. at a facility called Playwerx, and it was the perfect end to the day - the kids played hard for two hours in between a meal of pizza and ice cream, so we sent them all home with full bellies and worn out.... I received a couple of notes from parents saying their child fell asleep in the car on the way home and was out for the night!
