Isabelle has always had a thing for Band-Aids. When she was two and still called them "Owies" instead of Band-Aids, she would use them as accessories, slapping them on her arms and legs even in the absence of any scrapes, cuts, or scratches. It got to the point where we limited her to two a day--which probably sounds like a lot, but sometimes when your kid wants to wear 10 Band-Aids a day you learn to compromise.
While she's no longer wearing Band-Aids as pure accessories, she still likes to wear fashionable owies that have Disney princesses or other cartoon characters like Strawberry Shortcake on them. Recently we ran out of fun kid Band-Aids and it was a sad day in the house when I had to cover a scrap on her knee with a boring, beige "grown-up" one.
Until recently, when to Isabelle's (and my) surprise, we opened her Owie drawer to realize she has enough to get through at least the next year. Turns out we had to use up our remaining Flexible Spending Account (FSA) money or lose it, so Jason went on a buying spree and ordered a ton of health and wellness related items that are eligible FSA expenses - including first aid kits and, you guessed it, Band-Aids.
This picture is pretty funny. It took Isabelle about 10 minutes to decide which box to open first (after I firmly discouraged her from opening EVERY box)!

PS - I hope Hello Kitty is represented among the characters.
