Isabelle's playdate

For months now, Isabelle has been asking if her friend J from daycare can come to our house and play--and just when I was thinking I should send a note through my daycare provider to J's parents inviting her over, they did the same! Apparently J has also been asking to have Isabelle over, and so we decided it was time for the girls to have a playdate.

J came over from 8:00 - 1:00 today and I don't think more than two seconds passed during those five hours that Isabelle wasn't talking. Our little motormouth showed J every single one of her toys, they dressed up like princesses, they watched The Little Mermaid while working on art projects, they put together her train tracks, they built a castle out of blocks, they played outside, and they helped me make lunch (mini homemade pizzas with a side of strawberries and carrot sticks!).

Isabelle had no trouble falling asleep tonight!
