We recently returned from our 9-day trip to Michigan, aka "the Great Lakes tour." We flew into Chicago on Friday, May 27 and drove up to the U.P. - a trip which included Isabelle getting carsick and throwing up all over herself - and arrived at my mom's house right around 2:00 a.m..
We spent the next several days in the U.P. seeing family and friends, including my oldest friend Jacquie who recently got engaged! The weather wasn't very nice but we still found time to build a campfire (and make s'mores), as well as see a movie and grab some Congress pizza one night.
Wednesday, June 1 we drove from the U.P. to Muskegon, where we stayed with Jason's mom until Sunday (luckily by this time Isabelle had gotten used to long drives!). During the three full days we spent in the lower peninsula, I attended a baby shower, a wedding, and my friend Anne's grad school graduation party - not to mention Jason celebrated our five-year wedding anniversary that same weekend!
Sunday we drove back to Chicago, took a plane to San Diego, and collapsed in bed around 11 p.m. Luckily Jason and I were smart enough to have taken the next day off work to recover from our travels!

It was great as always to see you and Jason and to finally meet Isabelle! We've set the wedding date for June 16th next year and I'd love for you to be there!
