We started the day at Starbucks where she received her very own Vanilla milk with Straw. We proceeded to Target where I gave her a reprieve from the child seat and let her sit in the cart which she loves. Then it was off to the park.
After her really short 1 hour nap, we had to run out for groceries. Today, I decided to experiment and let Isabelle drive one of the child carts.
Whenever we would stop with other shoppers in the vincinity, Isabelle would lean out the front and yell. "Hi!"Isabelle also managed to figure out that she was able to lean out the side and snag things off the shelf. Luckily, with some work, I was able to prevent her from grabbing everything outside one can of tomato paste.

We ate the frozen yogurt on the way to park number two of the day. She played for a while but Isabelle seems to be getting bored with the parks. She seems to need more stimulation and variety. Looks like we are going to have to get more creative.

Isabelle was upset when all the kids left shortly after she joined. She was determined to play ball even if she had to play by herself.

After we dropped the groceries back home, Isabelle and I stopped for Frozen Yogurt. Suprisingly, she didn't eat that much. It may have been because I sprinkled a little granola on the yogurt and I sawing her trying to pick it out.

When we got home, I let Isabelle ride her bike. It didn't last long as she saw some kids playing at the end of the street.

All in all, I think I stated my case for positioning in the household. We'll see what happens when Tania gets back on Wednesday.

That's quite the adventure! You're giving Tania a run for her money.

PS - you could really close the deal but letting her watch Swamp Tigers or Gene Simmons and the Family Jewels...

I'm eating an orange while reading this, and when I saw the photo / read the comment about Isabelle leaning into her turns, I started laughing so hard I almost choked to death.
You get points for giving Isabelle her very own straw and letting her "drive" the fancy shopping cart - but you have quite a deficit to overcome. Bribery may work for you in the interim, but as soon as she sees my face Wednesday the balance of power will be restored.
First of all just let me say that Isabelle must take after Grandma Koski who likes to drive big trucks, tractors, etc. if she has the instinct to lean into curves without even going around them! Boy will her and I have fun one of these days!! Alas, Jason is giving Tania a run for her money in this zany competition, but Tania has a point with the bribery. When Tania gets back Isabelle will either be overjoyed to see her or will stick to Jason for a while longer as she may be a little put out with Tania for leaving her in the first place as Tania is the parent who normally doesn't go out of town for work. Keep us all posted!! Jason: I think us grandparents would all agree that you are now in the top spot for the amusing stories and photos of Isabelle. Tania will have to work a lot harder to top the last few days. Thanks for the peek into her life - what a joy!!
