Sunset at Moonlight Beach

Saturday was a beautiful, cool and sunny day - a good day to get both Isabelle and Jason out of the house and into the fresh air. Jason has been sick for two weeks with severe bronchitis - his doctor said if he had waited any longer to seek treatment it would have become pneumonia - and so he's spent most of his time indoors sleeping and trying to get healthy.

I decided we should go watch the sun set on Saturday - so we bundled up in fleece jackets, grabbed Starbucks on the way, and took a blanket down to Moonlight Beach. Isabelle is too young to appreciate the setting sun, but she was fascinated by the noisy seagulls and learned that putting sand in her mouth is not something she'll ever want to try again.

In this photo she was waving a rock at the seagulls behind us:

Beautiful! Seagulls are funny creatures. Good for you for taking advantage of the sunsets. I did that when house sitting in Grand Haven this summer. It really does take your breath away.
