This morning Jason left for his annual guy trip - the 12th or 13th annual? I forget. Anyway, he'll be spending the next few days with several friends at a rented beach house in Puerto Rico.
This means that Isabelle and I will have lots of girl time between now and Sunday night. Since she's too young to appreciate things like mud masks, pedicures, and cheesecake, we'll have to settle for trying new forms of strained food and practicing sitting upright. Maybe if the weather is nice we'll spend some time outdoors - she hasn't seen the ocean yet. I finally bought her a swimsuit, sunglasses with a handy strap that fits around the head, and some baby sunscreen.
At least Jason's absence will give me plenty of time to read my book - at least while Isabelle is napping and after she's gone to bed at night...

It's times like this that I wish we lived closer to each other. We could be having our own mini girls weekend! If only we were rich and lots of money to jet across the country when we felt like it!
She might not understand the joy of cheesecake but that doesn't mean mom can't enjoy it while she's eating cherries, right?
whoa. I am so freaked out Kim and I posted at the same time.
Wow, you guys both posted at exactly 5:55!
I am so on board with the idea of being independently wealthy and able to jet around the country to visit people whenever we want :-)
