Playing catch-up

Today is Jason's last day of vacation - like many of you, he has to re-enter the real world tomorrow and go to work. I've been taking advantage of having him on vacation in a number of ways - having someone to share the overnight baby-feeding shift; being able to escape to Borders a couple of times to read my book and drink coffee; running errands without having to haul Isabelle and her monstrous diaper bag; and heck, having more than 10 minutes to shower and eat a meal!

I definitely used today to catch up on a few more things before he goes back to work:

1) Sleep - Isabelle finally went to sleep at 2:00 a.m. last night, and Jason took the next few shifts so I could sleep...and sleep.... I slept until 11:00!! Much more enjoyable than my usual 5:00 or 5:30 wake-up.

2) Clean - I packed away all of the Christmas decorations, moved the tree to our back patio, finished all of the baby's laundry, and vacuumed, mopped, and dusted the downstairs. The dust bunnies under my coffee table, couch and love seat were as large as real rabbits, so I took the time to move all the furniture and clean underneath.

3) Hide my roots - As I type this, my hair is soaking in dye

Needless to say, I'm sad to see Jason go back to work! It's been great having some downtime with just the three of us...

Hey there....I love catching up. Unfortunately, Chris and I still need a few more days. I tried to call tonight...but, I'm not sure if I called the right number. Can you give me a holler sometime? Or e-mail me your #?
