So last night at 11:00, when she'd been up for several hours already and showed no signs of going to sleep anytime before dawn, I decided to try and bathe her to see if she'd fall asleep again. It worked! She was crabby in her tub and fought me everytime I came at her with the washcloth, but the funniest thing happened after I'd dressed her again. I started brushing her scalp with one of those soft infant hair brushes, and her eyes rolled back in her head and she went completely limp! I successfully laid her in her crib, and amazingly she slept for three hours!
I think Isabelle and I may have a new bedtime ritual...

I've always been a big fan of night time cleansing. It washes away the day. Does she like lavendar scented things? I see those lotions all the time.

I haven't tried any of the lavender scented baby products - I've been using the Johnson & Johnson head-to-toe body wash because I love the scent so much...
What a cutie pa-tootie! They are the best when they are little like that!

I started giving Avery a bath every night when she was a couple months old. It's been our routine ever since. I love rocking her and smelling her after a warm bath...and it sets the mood for nuh-night time. We LOVE the soothing bedtime Johnson and Johnson stuff, and the vapor bubble bath (when Isabelle gets a little older). I can't wait to meet her and see you. I still owe you a phone call!
