Isabelle's first holiday party

We've successfully left the house with Isabelle numerous times, but our trips have mostly been short, two-hour excursions to the grocery store or to the doctor. Yesterday was the big test to see how she would do being gone most of the day; Jason's boss hosted a dinner party at his house for about 12 people and they said it was fine for us to bring the baby.

We ended up being away from the house for 7 hours, and she did amazingly well! I was a little concerned because she generally has one good fussy period each day where she just needs to let off some steam and cry - she's not unbearable during these periods but they can last for an hour or more and I didn't want to force the other party guests to listen to a screaming baby. But she was a champ - she slept pretty peacefully in her car seat/carrier, waking twice to eat.

We'll be more apt to use a babysitter in the future for things like company parties or date nights, but we didn't want someone's first time watching her to last for nearly 8 hours!
