Happy Halloween!

Jason and I are staying in tonight and handing out candy. Now that we live in suburbia, we have a feeling we will get mobbed by trick-or-treaters. I'm looking forward to it; the last several years we've lived in places without many neighborhood children and we'd get a handful of kids at most.

We're handing out both candy and packs of sports cards. On Sunday Jason went through several boxes of old baseball, basketball and football cards and packaged them into bundles to hand out to some of the older kids. I'm sure he'll also get some brand new packs from work to hand out.

What are you doing / what did you do for Halloween?

Hi there!

I don't get onto your blog very often, so I just got caught up on the last month or so. It sounds like the "to flip or not to flip" question is a bit of a toughie, but I'm sure you'll make a good decision. It seems that you may be leaning more toward the c-section; that seems to make sense given the info you've shared and what others have said/experienced. You know I have no knowledge in this area, or I'd give you my input, too. :-)

As for Halloween, I've actually been to Halloween parties each of the past two weekends. One was at my friend's parents' house and the other was at this cool bar that always has good live music. I'm actually going back to that same bar tonight (in the same costume I wore there last weekend...and the weekend before to the other party...at least I'm getting my money's worth!). After that, two of my friends' boyfriends are having a party at their apartments (they live across the hall from each other), so I'll go by there for a while, too.

My apartment complex doesn't have many kids at all, so I'm not expecting to get any trick-or-treaters. I hadn't even thought of the possibility, actually, so I have no candy. Maybe I should go pick up a bag after work just in case.

Well, enjoy your evening of handing out candy!

I went to Beth and Jon's. Jon made a crazy good dinner and then they went out treating with the girls while I manned the fort. Was really slow at first but then picked up. Some neighboors had a bonfire (in an enclosed firepit thing) and we hung out there for a bit. The best constume was a #2 pencil. It was awesome.

Hey there,
We took Avery and the Tenney kids trick-or-treating. We dressed up as the Wizard of Oz crew. Avery was the "scary crow". My sisters were nice enough to stay at our place to hand out candy while we were out, and then we took over duties. We probably got almost 200 kids. It was CRAZY! I think people come flocking to our neighborhood to trick or treat.
Did you get lots of kids?
